Plumbers in Sheffield
Heat365 are Gas Safe registered plumbers working right across Sheffield — leaks and burst pipes, taps and toilets, blocked drains, hot water problems, bathrooms and full plumbing installations. Local engineers, more than twenty years of experience in this city, and someone on the end of the phone every day of the year.
Plumbing services for the whole of Sheffield
Sheffield is a big, awkwardly shaped city to plumb. It is built across steep ground and several river valleys — the Don, the Sheaf, the Rivelin, the Loxley and the Porter — and the housing changes character every couple of miles. A stone terrace in Walkley, a 1930s semi in Woodseats, a converted apartment in the city centre and a modern estate house in Mosborough all fail in different ways, and they all need a different approach.
That is the practical reason we work suburb by suburb rather than treating Sheffield as one flat area. Our engineers are out across the S postcodes every day, and over twenty-odd years we have built up a working knowledge of what tends to go wrong where: original lead and steel pipework still buried in solid walls in the older inner suburbs, weak flow to upstairs bathrooms on the higher ground out west, shared risers and communal stopcocks in city-centre flats, and blocked or collapsed drainage in the Victorian streets that sit lowest in the valleys.
Most of what we do is straightforward domestic plumbing — a leak that needs tracing, a toilet that will not stop running, a tap or a stopcock that has seized, a drain that keeps backing up, a bathroom that needs plumbing in properly. We also cover the heating and gas side through our boiler and central heating teams, so if a plumbing problem turns out to be a heating one you are not left chasing a second trade.

What our Sheffield plumbers do
From a dripping tap to a full bathroom installation — the whole domestic plumbing range, across the city.

Leaks & burst pipes
Tracing hidden leaks under floors, behind plaster and beneath driveways, then repairing them with as little disruption as possible.

Taps, toilets & general plumbing
Running or blocked toilets, dripping and seized taps, stopcocks, valves, waste pipes, outside taps and washing machine connections.

Drains & blockages
Slow, gurgling and backed-up drains, blocked sinks, showers and soil stacks, and the shared drainage runs common in older terraced streets.

Bathrooms & kitchens
Full bathroom and kitchen plumbing — new suites, showers, pumps, wet rooms, and moving waste and supply runs where a layout changes.

Hot water & heating
No hot water, poor pressure, noisy cylinders and cold radiators. Handled by our heating side — boilers, radiators and underfloor systems.

Landlords & commercial
Plumbing and heating for rented property, offices, shops and industrial units across the city, including planned and reactive work.
Water coming in right now?
Burst pipe, no water, a ceiling coming down or no heating in cold weather — that is an emergency, and we run a 24/7 line for exactly that. See emergency plumbing in Sheffield or just call us.

The Don, Loxley and Rivelin valleys, where Victorian and inter-war housing dominates and older pipework is the norm rather than the exception.

The lower Don valley out towards the Parkway, and the newer estates on the south-eastern edge of the city.

The higher ground running out towards the Peak District, with large period homes, student lets around the universities and the villages on the city boundary.
South Sheffield · S2, S7, S8 and S11
The suburbs stretching down the Sheaf valley from just below the city centre, a mix of stone terraces, inter-war semis and converted flats.

“Needed a new boiler installed asap, got in contact with Ricky. Straight away he quoted & fitted me in quickly. The lads stayed for 10 plus hours and returned the next day to ensure I had water and heating. Can't fault the lads at all.”
“Great service, responded quickly and sorted my boiler out so I had heating and hot water back on in this freezing weather. Came out late on a Saturday night to fix. NHS discount too!!”
“Thank you to Rick and the team for fitting our new boiler and radiators. I waited a while before leaving a review, but 6 months down the line it's still working just as good. I would highly recommend.”
Plumbers in Sheffield — your questions answered

Which parts of Sheffield do you cover?
All of it. Our engineers work across every Sheffield postcode from S1 in the city centre out to S36 at Stocksbridge, taking in the northern suburbs, the east end, the south of the city and the western side towards the Peak District. We have a page for each of the areas listed above, and we also cover the surrounding towns — see where we work for the full picture.
What kinds of plumbing jobs do you take on?
Everything domestic: leaks and burst pipes, blocked drains and waste pipes, toilets, taps, stopcocks and valves, hot water and pressure problems, outside taps, and full bathroom and kitchen plumbing. Because we are also a heating and gas business, we can pick up boiler, radiator and underfloor work on the same visit rather than handing you to another trade.
Is a plumbing problem an emergency, or can it wait?
As a rule of thumb: if water is escaping and you cannot stop it, if a ceiling or electrics are getting wet, if you have no water at all, or if you have no heating during cold weather and there is someone vulnerable in the house, treat it as an emergency and call straight away. A dripping tap, a slow drain or a toilet that runs on can usually be booked in normally. Our emergency plumbing page covers the out-of-hours side in more detail.
Where is my stopcock likely to be?
In most Sheffield homes the internal stopcock is under the kitchen sink, though in older terraces it can be in a cellar head, under the stairs, in a downstairs cloakroom or beneath a floor hatch near the front of the property. There is usually an external one under a small cover in the pavement or path outside too. It is worth finding yours and checking it turns before you ever need it — a seized stopcock turns a small leak into a big one.
Why do my upstairs taps and shower run so weakly?
Sheffield is a hilly city and a lot of housing sits on high ground, so incoming mains pressure varies a good deal from one suburb to the next. Weak upstairs flow is usually down to that, an old gravity-fed tank system, partially closed or furred-up valves, or narrow original pipework that has silted up over the decades. We will measure what is actually arriving at the property before recommending anything, rather than assuming a pump is the answer.
Do you work on older properties and period pipework?
Regularly. Much of Sheffield's inner housing is Victorian, Edwardian or inter-war, and those properties often carry a patchwork of pipe materials and sizes added over the years, sometimes buried in solid walls or under suspended timber floors. We use non-invasive leak detection wherever possible so we lift as few boards and cut into as little plaster as we can.
Do you cover landlords and business premises as well as homes?
Yes. Alongside domestic work we look after rented property for landlords and agents, and we handle commercial heating and industrial plumbing across the city. Get in touch and we will talk through what the property needs.
