Plumbers in Heeley, Sheffield
Heat365 are Gas Safe registered plumbers and heating engineers working across Heeley and the S2 postcode. Close-in terraced streets, older boilers coming to the end of their lives and heating that costs more to run than it should — that is most of what we are called out to here. Straight answers, no pressure, and a 24/7 line.
Practical plumbing and heating for Heeley homes
Heeley sits just south of Sheffield city centre, on the slope between the city and Meersbrook, and was historically part of the old Norton parish along with Norton Lees, Woodseats and Meersbrook. The housing here is mostly close-in terraces and smaller semis, with a mix of owner-occupied and rented homes on the same street.
The heating in a lot of those houses is simply getting old. Boilers fitted a decade or more ago are now needing more attention each winter, radiators that have never been flushed are cold at the bottom, thermostats and controls are basic or have stopped working properly, and pipework runs under suspended timber floors where a small drip goes unnoticed for a long time.
Our approach in Heeley is straightforward. If a boiler can sensibly be repaired we will repair it and tell you honestly how much life it likely has left. If it genuinely is not worth it, we will say so and explain what a replacement would involve rather than pushing you into one. Every gas job is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

“Needed a new boiler installed asap, got in contact with Ricky. Straight away he quoted & fitted me in quickly. The lads stayed for 10 plus hours and returned the next day to ensure I had water and heating. Can't fault the lads at all.”
“Great service, responded quickly and sorted my boiler out so I had heating and hot water back on in this freezing weather. Came out late on a Saturday night to fix. NHS discount too!!”
“Thank you to Rick and the team for fitting our new boiler and radiators. I waited a while before leaving a review, but 6 months down the line it's still working just as good. I would highly recommend.”

My boiler keeps breaking down — is it worth repairing again?
It depends on what has failed, whether parts are still available for that model, and how many faults it has had recently. A one-off component failure on an otherwise sound boiler is usually worth fixing. Repeated faults across different parts, or a model whose spares have been discontinued, is the point where repairs stop making sense. We will tell you which situation you are in rather than leaving you to guess.
How can I tell if my heating system needs flushing?
The usual signs are radiators that are hot at the top and cold at the bottom, some rooms never getting warm however long the heating is on, noises from the boiler or pipework, and dirty black water when you bleed a radiator. Those point to sludge and corrosion debris in the system. A flush plus an inhibitor is what stops it building straight back up again.
Will better heating controls actually make a difference?
They can, particularly in an older house running on a very basic timer or a thermostat that is no longer accurate. Getting the system to heat the rooms you are using, at the times you are actually in, is one of the cheaper improvements available to most Heeley homes — and it does not involve replacing the boiler. We will tell you honestly whether your setup would benefit or not.
Can you work around a tenancy — I rent, but the landlord arranges repairs?
Yes. We regularly deal with a landlord or letting agent for access and authorisation while working around whoever actually lives there. Just let us know the arrangement when you call so we can contact the right person and book a time that suits the household.
Do you cover Meersbrook, Norton Lees, Gleadless and Highfield as well?
Yes — we work right across S2 and the neighbouring parts of south Sheffield, including Meersbrook, Norton Lees, Highfield, Lowfield, Sharrow, Nether Edge, Gleadless and Arbourthorne. If you are close by and not sure, just call and we will confirm.
